Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR)

ADR is the present day alternative for justice disbursing system in India. Not only in India but all over the world, justice has come under great pressure for several reasons, especially of the huge pendency of existing court cases. The pendency and delays are due to variety of reasons. The Government and judiciary felt the need of ADR methods to provide means for expeditious resolution and disputes. In India, ICADR is providing and establishing awareness programmes, infrastructure facilities for settlement of disputes through Arbitration, Resolution, Mediation and Negotiations.

Mr.S. Prabhu, IAAS, has been associated with ICADR over the past few years and being a special Invitee in the Governing Council of ICADR which is working under the aegis of the Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India.

A specialised Mediator and recognised Arbitrator, conciliator in resolving the disputes which are pending in Courts for years together. He is an empanelled Life Member in the Indian Council of Arbitration (ICAR (FICCI)) and also a Life Member in ICADR, New Delhi. He has been participating in various activities of these Institutions apart from resolving the disputes in a amenable situation and tap in his expertise in any area. His vast experience, evaluation ability and knowledge in multifaceted areas help him to resolve issues much faster than others.

As can be seen in Mr.Prabhu’s Profile, he has worked in the Water Industry service provider (CMWSSB) and an open-end factory and also has had an exposure at the Apex level office, ie. National Technical Research Organisation(NTRO) under the PM’s Office, of the Nation.

His knowledge on the Arbitration Act, 1996 and efforts taken to amend that Act is well-known.

He has completed the Post Graduate Diploma in Alternative Dispute Resolution conducted by the ICADR. He has also specialised in the ADR Methods, Cyber Laws, Intellectual Property Rights, Patent Law and Contract Law.
